UNDERGRADUATE CERTIFICATE
in retail, you can pick any passion – from food to sports; music to cars –and pursue a career with lots of opportunities for on-the-job training and professional development. The National Retail Federation reports that the retail industry directly and indirectly supports 1 in 4 jobs in Pennsylvania– that’s 1.6 million jobs! – and jobs are expected to grow by 11 percent nationwide in the next 10 years.
Students will learn the highly employable, in-demand skills needed to work in retail such as sales and customer service, merchandising, human resources, operations, administative and financial accountability.
Upon completion of the certificate coursework, students are eligible to sit for the National Professional Certification in Retail Management exam. This certification sets you apart and lets employers know you’re motivated and qualified to move into a management or supervisory role.

Please note: All components of the Retail Management certificate program are offered exclusively at Mercyhurst’s Booker T. Washington Center campus outreach location, at 1720 Holland Street in Erie.
